A Wish
I wish I had a tree to hang my heart on
An eagle to sore with my soul
A stream to carry me away to that promised land
I wish I had a mirror that was blind
An endless book to write my story
A golden cloth to stain with emotion
I wish I had a bed that would never be made for me to lie in
A key that would never unlock this door
And a sword that would never be mightier than my pen
I wish that fantasy would be reality
Imagination to be phenomenal
And chemistry between flesh and blood a philosophy
I wish I had a clock that could make time stand still
Love to be solitary
And that you save me from behind this crimson door
