I have a special place in my heart for humble souls, wise ones are rare, wisdom is something that comes from a deep place, as far as i can tell from my experience in personal life, i have only few wise souls. Hate i see is so common, kindness so rare. That its shocking when i find kindness. I always learn from others, and to think positively is hard when one has seen so much of negativity. I think at the end of the day whats important is to be real. Honest, and compassionate! Love this senryu

sorry for the delay in responding to your comments. I share your love and respect for humble and wise souls. I've known a few in my lifetime. I've also encountered hateful souls, hell bent on destroying my character as a teacher and writer. I struggled for many years afterwards wondering if kindness still existed. I became defensive for a while. Slowly I unwrapped the cocoon I put myself in. Still hard for me to be around negative folks and unauthentic people. I believe in compassion too. You're a kindred spirit & a dear poet friend.

A wonderful write/picture. A wise person comes with age. Today, the youth will Not listen to the older/wise people. Toooooo bad for them. Have a wonderful day/weekend....................

Wisdom really comes with different shades of development & growth. Our inner conscience is elevated to a higher perspective which allows us to analyse situations and circumstances of life in a clearer way.. Sometimes it comes with age through experiences but sometimes it comes when an early blooming bud is exposed to severe hailstorms of life.. And maturity beyond years, develops.. This indeed a fav poem for me dear Sara, your words are always enriched with poetic richness and wisdom :)
