A Wife's Pledge
I am watching over the little stars
Twinkling in pairs across my eyes so far
Through my empty bedroom windows
The clock ticking....
It's a few minutes to midnight
And my hubby is not home yet
I know he cheats
Maybe he tip toes in the lodging room
With a "small she" side by side
The clock is ticking...
It's a few minutes past midnight
And my lover staggers in our bedroom
Lipstick on his shirt
I will still keep my pledge
For better for worse like I vowed
Until he comes back to me even in old age
My cheating hubby
