A Whole Day to Do What I Want
The day is mine. I can do what I want.
There is no schedule. I am free to play!
I could paint, cartoon, write or organize.
I laugh at my silliness, I have the whole day!
So many choices – and a clean studio too!
I am overcome with the happiness, full of sentimental goo.
Ideas are churning around in my excited head.
Not wanting to choose, I go back into my bed.
Take a long nap, and wake up happier still.
I thought you’d be painting says my puppet doll, Bill.
I know it’s October, and almost Halloween.
But the fact that he talked, seems macabre and obscene.
