A Wedding Day
Cleaning the church is a privilege.
I go every Saturday, humbly to serve.
It is not a boast, it is small gratitude paid,
for all that is received.
A tiny offering to a plate filled with blessings,
ever provided by… Him!
There will be a wedding, today.
Two people will come together before God.
They will hold hands at the front.
Our preacher will say the words.
The Honored Lord, will preside above all,
Believers and unbelievers,
worshipers and wanderers.
This time will be a great time,
to celebrate, and remember…
God’s presence in our lives, is beyond our knowing.
We can only kneel and pray,
Not more than,
children.
This morning as I pull the vacuum across the rough carpet,
traversed by sinners and those forgiven by blood,
I ask the Lord to Bless this family.
All those that come here to this place,
Your house,
Your temple,
One truth!
Let them feel YOU here!
Let them seek Your face, and know your grace…
Prayers for the wedding couple, starting out their life.
Prayers for the preacher and his loving wife.
Prayers for those that come to pray the very needs of our every day…
Cleaning is good work, and praying makes it easy.
Knowing that others will come, sit and listen, (sing, dance and be saved)
makes it more, and even so… an honest opportunity
to scrub the rug.
