A time of indifference
A subdued welcome,
so visits seldom,
as we so mirror
ebbing love’s tremor.
Sans joy’s zest and zeal,
embrace lacks appeal,
like dying ember,
insipid timbre.
Playfulness childlike,
wherein bliss beats spike,
distant memory;
lustre, history.
