My library has grown and grown, so many- my shelves groan; there are more books than I can ever read, but they keep coming like a need. There are tilting piles of books along walls, accumulated in time both the big- and smalls; books, books on each table . . . to read I will be unable. I can hear them - whispering to me their story; a thousand doors into love, fury and glory . . . I wander up and down each row, so much- I want to know; I smile at books I've read before and some, are children's books I'd read with mom. I spot a naughty tale intended to arouse, and blushing, put it back- continue with my browse; from cars, to crime, to birds . . . each shelf is packed with learned words. I heard that Jack did this one with you. Congrats to you both, Dear Heart. Lovely topic done with great love. (I too have so many books in my shelves but because of my love for movies, I don't think I can ever get around to them!)

Andrea, thanks for the congrats, both Jack and I are book collectors, with so many we will never read them all but that's not the point, I just like looking at mine !

Great choice for a collab partner, someone who has wrote a lot of poems... I am not a big fan of reading, but i bet you two have read loads of poems between you.. thanks for taking part..

Silent, thanks for the inspiring contest, we both enjoyed writing the poem, we are both big book collectors and readers so it suit us very well and we write in a similar way, appreciate the great placement !

Jack, it was my honor to write with you for this collaboration, I know your life is busy taking care of your mom and you have limited time for poetry soup and contests, so you were my natural choice as we write in a similar way and I knew our two parts would match perfectly and I know we both love books ! Hi Chris, well I picked this theme because I know my writing partner has the same problem as me, we cannot pass a used book store without buying some books, and never mind garages sales, that is just pathetic. Once in a while I get rid of some but you would never notice , thanks so much for stopping by to read !
