A Tangled Mind
A tangled mind, fighting for truth
Lies and misconception blurs vision
Frustration brews in this inner pot
Wishing for clarity to endure, for it to reign
Because, this is what it takes to survive
Screams of cover-ups, hiding facts,
Deafen me to the point of seeking silence
I grasp at nature for simple reprieve
In this gift of creation, we are granted
I write words to get by, as I choose
Scribbled in notebooks, that I gather
My voice is written so I can sustain
Whether I stand alone or not
Creativity is a gift to be grateful for
Untangling my mind, in the toughest of times
