The last lonely leaf dancing on zephyr breeze on skeletal trees Bare branches remind me of ghoulish fingers, just one leaf lingers Colourful crisp leaves twirl down onto damp ground, they’ll soon be earthbound On autumn days like these it’s just me who sees the last lonely leaf dancing on zephyr breeze Half Eleven contest Sponsored by Nina Parmenter 11/1/18

You always get the stragglers Jan, I always enjoy the autumn in all its glory. Once you get into late November all you get is wet, dark and depressing days. Good luck. Tom

Thanks Lin, I really enjoyed the challenge and I do like the ending of the poem as the three lines work well together with the addition of an extra syllable in one line-) hugs Jan xx
