A Storm Is Brewing

As a cold night slips away
And the new day begins,
Gray clouds move in
With a stillness in the air
 - A storm is brewing -
It can be felt in each breath
With more snow on the way
It is what they mean…
By the calm before the storm
All is quiet, nature waits
Maybe, this is how the birds know?

Here nothing yet but the squirrels, chubby bubby and burly tailed are begging for seeds.

Thank you Vijay. We already have 1/2 foot from the last early storm. Leaves were still falling on top of it. Now, they say 9 more inches. Stay warm and have a nice day :)

I saw that storm heading your way on the news this morning. But I should have just waited for your beautiful poem to let me know. I think the birds probably waited for your poem, that's how they know. : )

Funny there is always a stillness before a storm. Ensure you have enough logs in for your burner. Keep warm. Tom.
