A Spot Down By the River
I found myself a spot, down by the river
Where I could change direction of thoughts that flow
Maybe it wouldn’t be so rough and I would just rest
With the soothing hum of the water’s movement
Nature’s gentle hands would hold me close
With each simple breath, I would find more to believe in
- A breath of hope -
- A breath of confidence -
- A breath of strength -
Breathing with the breeze, grounded on the shore
I found my spot in solitude, down by the river
- Where nothing could soothe me more -
