A Song of Hope
Verse 1
If I had a wish that I could keep
And a way to read the signs
I would give it to the child that weeps
And prays for all mankind
That he may find the wisdom
For the way that we should be
A world where we can learn to live
In peace and harmony
Chorus
Can it be, we have a world, where we are free
Can it be, we live as one, in our diversity
Have we changed enough for man to build a better world?
And will the banner of a global peace be finally unfurled
Verse 2
Is this the time when everyone
Should open up their eyes
And is this the day we hope
That we will finally realize
That the world can live together
Without the fear of pain
And learn to love and not repeat
The same mistakes again
Chorus
Can it be, we have a world, where we are free
Can it be, we live as one, in our diversity
Have we changed enough for man to build a better world?
And will the banner of a global peace be finally unfurled
Bridge
We can change; we must find a way somehow
We must change; the time to change is now
Verse 3
Is this the world where we can learn
To love our fellow man
And find a way to get along
In every way we can
Our children must be taught
The ways to live in peace
Then the horrors of our violent past
May one day finally cease
Chorus
Can it be, we have a world, where we are free
Can it be, we live as one, in our diversity
Have we changed enough for man to build a better world?
And will the banner of a global peace be finally unfurled
