A Soft Place To Fall

I just thought I should warn you
That my heart is not free
You are taken a chance with me
I just need a soft place to fall

I’m not looking for a new love
Forever is not on my mind
I’ve been hurt and need time to heal
I just need a soft place to fall

Warm arms that will hold me
Soft lips that will console me
Don’t bother to get to know me
I just need a soft place to fall

I thought I had found true love
That was not what he had in mind
He turned my love away today
I just need a soft place to fall

You know I still love him
He was the man of my dreams
But it seams he didn’t care for me
So now I need a soft place to fall

What I need is...
Warm arms that will hold me
Soft lips that will console me
Don’t bother to get to know me
I just need a soft place to fall
