A Six Year Old Sage
It is not about being the best, the child told her father.
It is about being yourself, living your life in a happy way.
Her father had been taught differently.
He thought competition was everything.
He was used to finish lines, trophies and medals.
Let me show you, his daughter said, curling into him on the couch.
It is about me being me and you being you.
That is the real win, Daddy.
That is the ultimate challenge.
He was amazed at her wisdom.
She was a sage at six-years-old.
