A Sigh Into Snow

The snow makes the night lighter Manipulates the dark Into a bedtime story The inky sky becomes A hazy wonder And you knew it would Be one of those nights The kind you don't forget The snow a pillow beneath your soft feet The exhale of your lonesome breath Curling in the white bliss Bury your past in each stride The night gleaming Not the warm sharp ended glow of a candle But silver iridescence You feel the teeth of the wind Biting at your fingertips But you couldn't care less The dust had collected on your free life for years That calamity that hunted your face Filled with mascara tears Now silky Like the moon in the sky
