A Quiet Walk With Him
The rain is falling lightly down as we begin our walk.
It's quiet now and we're alone and I can't wait to talk;
To share with You my cares and woes, the happenings of the day,
To say I'm glad You're here with me, that You're the same today,
As you were when things were new, when time was first begun.
It's Man who changed it wasn't You who made things come undone;
Poisoning our minds with lies, believing what we heard,
From those who serve the enemy, not cleaving to The Word.
We question if You care for us and even if You're there.
The question now, "Does God exist?" hangs often in the air.
And if He does why does He take the infants from the breast,
Leaving moms in anguished tears, how can that be best?
We poisoned our environment, blamed You when we got sick,
The devil is a clever one, on him seems nothing sticks;
But Lord just let me say right now, I see what's going on,
And I can't wait for Your Return, when You'll right every wrong.
