A Quiet Place

As a young child I found, school noisy and unfriendly. On my lunch time I would take a walk, going to the nearby church. I would slip in the back door, then slide into a long pew. The dimly lit alter spoke to me, yet there were no words. As I thought and prayed, peace would come over me like a warm blanket. A quiet place, I had found. Thanks for reading/writing and for your congratulations. It is an honor to have this wonderful win in your contest. I really enjoyed writing this one. It brought back many wonderful memories. That church was a quiet/peaceful/holy place to be. I think that was why I went to the church on my lunchtime. That was until I got caught by my classmates and they told the teacher. No more lunchtime in the church. (2 grade) Have a very blessed day....................

I can relate to those feelings Paula. Growing up we went to 15 different schools by the time we were in 9th grade. My mother was like a gypsy always moving. It is rough being the new kid. I found a quiet place with my kitten who purred me her song. I love that you found your quiet place close to God. Congratulations on your wonderful win. Blessings xxoo
