A quiet flame

Each night I call your name— and light bends close, soft edges fading into darkness. Your laughter cracks the silence, scattering tender sparks through shadows' quiet veil. In your gaze, the world stills, held by a steady glow— then awakens, flowing in gentle waves. You are the calm warmth in the coldest hours, a quiet force that slows the rush of time. Within your silence, God’s breath dwells— and your touch seals all unanswered questions. Your kiss travels beyond stars, and I return, carrying the faint warmth of a sky touched by your light. I find you where night dissolves, where no footprints remain— and in every soft moment, your name rises like a quiet flame in the wind. You are the light that lingers— breaking through shadows, holding steady while the world fades to stillness.
