A Promise

A promise glimmered in your eyes as you planted passion in my heart harvesting a tale in elegant calligraphy. My weary head rested on your shoulders and in a fervent feeling of faith, I fell asleep, waking up in a warm winter night dream. In your clasped hands my fingers interlaced malleable hope, in soft pastel of a sunrise a white pearl shined in promise of oyster You made me believe in the impossible. a lost faded sky emerged in your horizon swimming in clouds, no voice of reasons. Promise to come back, spring swore autumn resonating sea waves comfort distant sand You too said, "I do"... but don't know why you didn't.
