A Prayer
May I tender a smile to each soul that shows need,
Share all questions with God in my faith that He'll hear
And be gracious to strangers whose motives aren't clear,
Trust God's Will to help channel life's purpose and deed.
Let me relish each day as if it were my last,
Savor blessings of friends as if they were my own,
Feel the wounds life gives others, whose bone is my bone,
And embrace Grace for all as if I had no past!
Let me gather all lessons creation holds dear,
Weave their colors, man's rainbow to cast at Christ's feet
To replace the cruel thorns that crowned Grace did complete!
Let the ransomed all cherish this new atmosphere!
