A Post Trauma

A Post Trauma The drinking goes on, Only now under greyer skies, And much darker clouds. The smoking increases, Every calming exhalation, Equalled by clouds of pain and confusion, A speeding pulse momentarily regulated by drugs, Only for it to all start again! To be alone is pain, Although company is comfort, To wake up and realise is heartache, Yet the end of a day is relief, The day having been a battle, A quality of life a light year away, The aim at present...to remain stable!
