A poem to My Younger Self

I dedicate this poem 
To my inner child
A poem should have been
Written long ago
I begin to write

Hello, younger self
A poem about you
I  will create
So I will write now 

We've been through a lot
There has been good times
Yet many sad times 
Many tears we  shed
To have lakes, rivers

Oceans, streams, and seas
All named after us
Younger self, you must know
The past is done gone
look ahead instead

All those hurt memories
Are all long gone now
Don't live in the past
it gets you no where
Time to lok ahead
