A Poem Out of Every Person I Meet

I sit and I think and I laugh Because things are funny. People are hilarious. If you do not know this You are not listening. I can get a poem out of Every person I meet, And most will never know. Or care. I have met people whose faces I do not remember But their stories I will never forget Because they touched my heart. Some saved me, some uplifted me. Some belittled me or hurt me, It is sad that the faces of the meanest ones Can be conjured up in seconds. Yet the faces of two strangers who were Most tender and kind ... Face of one who changed my career Another who saved my life Are only in God’s mind.

Isn't that the way things turn out? I wish I could recall names and faces that meant so much to me but, I am ashamed to say I've forgotten some. I hope they're only hiding in the recesses and that I'll be able to locate them soon.
