If I were tickled by the rub of love, again,
could I let you go my darling, darling, could I say,
rest in peace and turn away from your death stone.
oh why, why am I chained to a man long dead.
And death shall have no dominion, no hold,
yet no time my love can take this love away,
our souls even in death are as one, still entwined,
oh, wait for me at Heaven's golden gate.
I was frozen, after the funeral, frozen,
and lost, my life meant nothing to me anymore,
I wanted to die and to be with you, but a fire burned,
inside of me and I crawled back to the living.
Do not go gentle into that good night, never,
I write and write poems all night, I write so,
I will be remembered, and I will not be just a name,
engraved upon a stone covered in moss.
In my craft or sullen art, my poetry is my life,
my soul rages, my tears bleed on the white,
and everyone who reads my words will know the depth,
of my pain, and will know my strength also.
