A Perfect Scene
It is a beautiful day, a perfect scene.
One that I wasn't going to miss.
The cold air is fresh, crisp and clean.
A little breeze, touches my cheek with a kiss.
The sun on the water, a pleasure to see,
the ocean glitters, from the sun's rays.
It was as if I was seeing a magical diamond sea.
Mesmerized, it was hard to pull myself away.
The waves rolling in, the white caps swell.
A line of translucent clouds separate water and sky.
Only nature could set this stage so well.
In the distance, a occasional sea vessel passes by.
The surf is gentle, softly caressing the sand.
Waves come in with barely a sound.
I watch a couple of gulls, flying from sea to land.
All of these treasures, so easily found.
Today is another day like so many before.
And so many times, I remind myself to see.
The constant beauty of it, I don't want to ignore,
this perfect scene that is right in front of me.
