A New Job In the New Year

As sure as seventeen is the square root of two hundred eighty-nine, I want to share a New Year’s resolution of mine. I am now deep in debt, and it is not a bit funny. I want to land a job that will make me lots of money. Debt collectors call me on the phone every day. They say I am behind, and they demand that I pay. I find it awfully difficult to stay afloat. There are plenty of friends of mine in the same boat. Landing a new job will be a process of trial and error. Just the thought of the hunting shakes me with terror. I know I will be in for one hell of a time. If that does not work, I can always resort to crime.

The crime is that the bill collectors continue to call even after you have spoken with them. I been there and know just how you feel, Robert. The job hunting terror really hit home for me, so I had to start my own business. I still have a long way to go, but the journey begins with the first step. Good luck and congrats on your win in the contest. Dan C

I forgot to congratulate you on your high placement in the contest. Congratulations. I hope I wasn't too...whatever...about suggestons. I just wish I could find solutions for everyone, but I can't. But doing something, anything, will take your mind off of those bill collectors...and might just buy something you need. I hope you have a successful New Year!

Crime doesn't pay! But signs that say "Will work for food" often do... at least there is a legal option. Troubled economic times are difficult to endure. I wish you well in finding a job...or making birdhouses to sell at a flea market... recycled fence or soda bottles or...I know you are creative! Have faith and keep those job applications flowing! I pray for your success! Congratulations on your great win. Lovingly, Dane Ann (TELL ME WHEN YOU GET A JOB, PLEASE.)
