Picture from the internet is of a beautiful bay in the Isle of Man.

SUNSET OVER THE BAY Brushstrokes as if painted by Monet, swirls of orange, lilac and pink. I raise my eyes to heaven, drinking in the beauty of my surroundings. I love to watch our stunning setting sun. MELTING SNOWBALL AS PER DEFINITION: A technique of steadily DECREASING the number of letters or syllables per word or line, or the number of words per line, is known by the Oulipo as a MELTING SNOWBALL. Beautiful shaped piece per the melting snowball specs. Well deserved accolades on your placement. Our home is situated where we can look across a wide field and enjoy the rising sun. Love your alliteration at the end, Jan.

Lovely picture choice with your melting snowball, Jan, which I think is superbly done and I can also picture the sun melting the snowball right down and until it's just the sun, making your poem that much more superb. Best of luck in the contest. This has to be a winner! :) hugs ~ Artsie xx
