Timeless Treats...
My Wife Ann was talking to me in the kitchen. And the words "Mellow Romance" -- leaped into the moment -- of our evening conversation as I was washing the dishes post-dinner. So, I thought why not pen an acrostic sonnet with this title. Here's the result of a late evening overture. Enjoy!
Apt that soft voice of love that grows:
Meet mind and heart in a fond merge,
Etch a clear poise of touch that shows;
Live grand soul art in feel and surge,
Laugh with good cheer that joyous peace;
Opt then to be in-sync with grace,
Words do endear a precious ease.
Reap fragrant sea now face to face,
Oblige the glow of sanguine good;
Make rapture count in happy shores,
Aim to meet flow with wholesome moods;
Note at life's fount more than before,
Charm leaps profound where love makes whole,
Etch blessed grounds in sacred souls.
