A Lovely Little Daydream
A LOVELY LITTLE DAYDREAM
Ever Wonder
Does the rain doubt its purpose
sunrise question its calling
gale winds their destination?
Do snowflakes know their beauty
autumn leaves ignite the fire
of September sunsets?
Do tumbleweeds ever wish
to return home
clouds weary of the heavens?
Does the wolf howl
at the moon’s shadow
in protest of the day?
Does the edge of darkness
kiss the edge of daylight
good-night?
