A Little Country-Boy

In a small market to the forests Where after the Friday-prayers The gujjars were shopping for the week-long; Wearing jeans— neither short nor full, A so-soiled t-shirt of several colors And, in cute little feet a long long chapal Likely of his dad— ha! ha! ha! A fair boy with a ewer dangling of his one tiny hand, Another—busy in blowing a toy, Was walking by the road’s edge And making a chweet chweet noise! Chapal:slipper chweet: sweet (the poem is printed on the cover page of my book underneath my photograph. The poem was as other poems a real experience in a village to the forests where i was teaching in a school...i have sweet memories of the beautiful place. Thank God )
