A Limerician's Shrift

It's the cell of a jail I am in

for the limerick fool I have been.

In the back of a hearse

I’ll be rhyming my verse

as they lay me to rest for my sin!

You are not half as naughty as daver. I'd like to read the limerick that sent you to jail. Was it publishable on the soup? Love, daver

This is sad in content but strung together with a poets critical eye and flows with a jaunty beat. Emile.

Awe! Witty ditty! The one sin I see is if the limerick is totally out of meter and rhyme! PS. What's going on? I also used "sin" in my latest! hugs!

I don't know how you can spin Limericks with such ease Andrea. It always impresses me. This is sure to do well in the contest. 7

Not the death penalty for limericks. Someone better warn Jack and Wulfman to go on the lam. Cute contest piece.
