A liberal Is moderately progressive Believes in giving generously Broadening the mind in a general way. A liberal is not too strict and not too literal Is tolerant and open-minded Favors good reforms Loves Liberty.

When Biden was elected, some friends worried he would be too far to the left. It was hard convincing them that he's a moderate. Your definition of liberal fits him and me as well. (I don't vote for parties; I vote for people.) Really enjoyed this poem! Best wishes, carolyn

Long ago, someone asked me why I called myself a "liberal." This sketch was my response. Liberal should not be a "dirty" word, and liberals are not bad people! Thanks for stopping by!
