A Heartbeat's Goodbye
A sun will never rise on tomorrow
When yesterdays follow a lonely road
Lead by anguished bewildered sorrow
When every footstep holds a heavy load
This path in a darker shades silent pull
Is a heartbeat's goodbye to cause sadness
And will churn empty in a heart once full
From a restless pain to sustain madness
Dreary is this dark journey to nowhere
When the sound of silence is all you hear
Until you can forgive yourself and dare
To once again cross a heart's frontier
Will you dwell in your yesterday's sorrow
Will a new sun, rise on your tomorrow
