A Heart So Broken

Once knew a girl whose heart, was like heaven, on a dew drop day, as they are so refreshing, so was her beautiful soft smile. On a cool summer night in 1962, we would stroll slowly by, the lake, as the moon's rays kissed the shadows on the lake. So peaceful and quite was this small Iowa town, that the memory of it brings my soul to quiver. The distance between us brought an end to our heartwarming romance that we shared that summer so long ago. Thinking of her on this somber Sunday afternoon, wondering if she ever married, and has lived a happy life. Life does not always give us what we want, sometimes life gives us what we need, so it is, so it was. wrote 8-3-08

Those young romances make for the greatest memories. We make the choices then sometimes wonder. Vince
