A Grateful Heart
A heart that is grateful,
Is usually matched to a brain that is thoughtful,
Hands that are helpful,
Legs that are flexible,
Eyes that are insightful,
And ears that are rightful.
A heart that is grateful is always hopeful,
Never doubtful,
Sees lots of potential,
Harms no individual,
Performs acts that are commendable,
And makes itself available,
Whenever others are unable.
A grateful heart is always welcome at my table,
A grateful heart is something laudable,
That makes me feel comfortable,
Enough, for hope to be affordable.
