A Good Morning After the Storm
A GOOD MORNING AFTER THE STORM
After the storm ceases...
A new day begins to open its eyes
Cardinals and robins excitedly gather
Dark shadows of oak through glass
Yellows, blues, and greens on artist's palette
Creator’s Brush in hand to paint the day alive
Good Morning of hopeful expectation & surprise
My irises grin, ready to take in
The explosion of rainbow colors
With childlike curiosity
As the calming wind waves through leaves and branches
Blessing me with love – a new rain from heaven’s door
