A Gentle Soul

Silent stars shine under misty moonlight- I call onto Capricorn to ease my flawed heart, and I am a woman longing for peace, a soul shining just to be stoned with grace, fearing not what lies ahead. I gaze upon sills and see photos not yet taken; homes with rooms filled with empty promises that perfume the air- seeking a smile that could end a war. But- I carry a scent of tender hope- a sight to be seen when ease of mind is hungered for. Gentle souls live forever, and that is what I am… A GENTLE SOUL. For I am an echo in time- wearing soft grains of kindness only an hourglass could envy. July 8, 2019
