A Friends Burial

Here I am standing amongst the dead Grey skies gathering inside my head My eyes are blinded with mists of tears Dread overcomes me with unknown fears Like a dark nightmare it feels surreal Everything's a void is how I feel. Written 20/02/20

So very real. I can so well relate. Each time I attend the funeral of a loved one, this is exactly how I feel !

So Sad Tom - I can feel your sadness from all the way across the seas - your poem conveys this - the grey skies, standing among the dead, we all are uncertain about death and going to a burial leaves an emptiness inside us as we say goodbye and think of how transient our stay in this world is!
