A Fresh Love
Love is funny.
It grabs you up and
Holds you captive,
Breathless.
Sometimes it is
Unexpected,
Coming on to you
At an insane pace.
It keeps some
People alive and fresh.
It gives them a sense
Of wonder, purpose.
A new love, a fresh love.
The old ones, easily forgotten
In the heat of passion.
Oftentimes there are major
Regrets later, but let’s not
Bother with all that now.
We’re in love!
