Mama looked so sad for me when I cried each night, rocking me and hugging me till we saw daylight. Something hurt inside my mouth. She put things in there meant to “pacify” (what’s that?) I liked rocking chair! One day Mom exclaimed out loud happily to Dad, “Look, our baby’s got a tooth.” They were both so glad. Mom and Dad are acting proud, saying, “Look at him!” so I smile widely showing one big “toothy” grin. May 1, 2019 in 7/5 Trochee Form For the Baby Face What's You Thinkin 2.. Every time I see a baby drooling I remember those days of poor baby's teething pain. They bite on everything. Your poem is so sweet Andrea and reminded me of my granddaughter going through her teething drama. : ) xxoo
