A Farewell To Summer

You greeted us three months ago; the summer sunshine was your smile. Your breezes spread the jasmine’s scent, and warmed the day for kids to play; then heated hopes of lovers hearts. But now as leaves fall from the limbs, with heavy hearts, a fond farewell. September 9, 2019

Spring and Summer are here and all too soon gone, Autumn is lovely also but Winter sometimes takes its toll on some people and countries or areas all over the world. John, I like the way you personify summer, with her jasmine breezes and sunshine smiles. When summer ends, it's like saying goodbye to a friend. (Growing up in NJ, we had three months of summer.
