A Dream of Shadows

I am standing outside in the gloomy hues of twilight,
A forsaken and lonesome girl, detached and apart;
Swirling and whirling the clouds are a beautiful sight,
Dark shadows are mingling in this dreaming sad heart.
And a gentle breeze is caressing my long dark tresses,
Night wraps his arms around me like a thick dark cloak;
We are dancing and twirling and my soul he possesses,
I am shrouded in secrets that drip, I just seem to float.
A cool breeze pulls at my hair like a desperate lover,
Night is a riddle, a puzzle and a mystery deeply spiritual,
Shadows all misty slithering and creeping for this dreamer,
And soon all loneliness fades and this girl is left peaceful.
