A Dream

Outside my window A blowing snow storm The wind blows fiercely Then the snow falling Covering the ground A heavy snowfall Blanketed the ground It blocked both the doors There was no way out In the early morn My eyes opened wide I looked outside There was no snow storm It was just a dream To me it was real

Hello Jo, you never seen snow! You must live in a warm climate. I live in Canada, we have 4 seasons,they are summer, autumn,winter, spring. Each season has its own beauty. It is almost winter here. Have a nice evening my friend.

Hello Darlene, Thanks for your comment on my recent sonnet!! "A Dream" is quite interesting. The situation you developed with your theme, to me, was kind of a daydream of sorts that many of us sometimes do on occasion. Everything appeared to be real, up and until your eyes opened wide. Yet, everything appeared to be so real. I really like the direct way in which you expressed this whole narrative. Sometimes when I'm deep in thought about a poem, I actually slip into a daydream mode. Best, Gary

Thank you, that night the wind was blowing strongly all evening long. So the wind made me dream of a snow storm that lasted all night. The dream semed so real to me. have a nice day my friend.
