A Devil

I once met the devil on a hill in the skies He was cloaked in a smile, a convincing disguise There was a glimpse of blood that shone from his eyes His tongue twisted words that melted in lies He told me I could be king with him at my side There were just a few rules that I had to abide But first a glimpse of this newfound life He pulled up his sleeve and took out a knife Drink this and you will see your foresight And the night melted,a mixture of ecstasy and light There was a blanket of warmth and i floated high I knew how the world worked but better i Knew why And When I awoke he awaited with a grin on his face I fell to my knees and begged him for that place Of course of course just sign your name I grabbed for the ink with zero shame Now for the rules to receive that grace Rule number one you shall never pray You must always move and never lay you must drink my blood at least once a day You must only listen to what I say What you need you must steal that is the way And this is what my life had soon became I was drunk from his dreams,my only flame I would only awake to be lost in a daze I lived only to feel his quiet gaze And Sadly after the years had began to age I had learned the devil had only gave me a stage All he put in my head was a simple play And I lusted after it day after day And for this i had agreed to a life of sin For the devils blood was my sweet heroin
