Her father gave her a burial blot (Not jewellery or clothes or a yacht!) When Debbie’s interred low Will they add a gift bow Still for now it’s a gift she’ll boycott! I read this article on-line from the ‘Mirror’ newspaper and I couldn’t resist writing a limerick about it. I would have loved to see her face when she was told what she had been given! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/my-dad-bought-burial-plot-11688469 12/27/17

I wouldn't be rushing to use it lol - the lady said it was the first gift her father had ever given her at Christmas I guess the thought was there somewhere but it's not something many would think of to give. I guess its a gift to last a lifetime lol:-) hugs jan xx

Actually, Jan, I would not mind not mind such a gift as this. I guess it's terribly expensive for a plot. That is why I want cremation. Even that is gonna be costly!!! Well done. You get inspired so easily so don't be telling me your muse has fled. haha

My folks had an odd sense of humor Kind of like they both had a tumor My father once had said She'll one day be dead And little white worms will consume her Merry Christmas???

Very clever! How good and quick you are with these limericks. How much to buy one from you for the contest? I just do not have a limerick brain and it makes no sense, I'm so good at sarcasm that I ought to be able to leap over into limericks, but, no. So, can we cheat? Love ya lady (hey, what if this chick would rather be cremated?) ... CayCay

If you write one I'll gladly help you if you get stuck as they take me about 2 or 3 mins to write i just love the form - you can help me with romance in return lol!. I can't imagine what the poor woman thought when she was given this bizarre present - I'm being cremated and scattered so it would be no use to me ... maybe she could sell it on if she wants to be cremated - one careful owner never used - oh that thought made me giggle lol lol:-) hugs jan xx

"A look of consolation... At least I have a place to rest my head," on the brighter side she might have said... The thought sometimes blow through my mind...

I'm on the same wave length as Charlie. It may be a thoughtful gift, but not one I'd want to give thought.

Got to say Lin if hubby even mentioned this as a gift for me it would be serious grounds for divorce lol:-) I wonder if I know the woman who the article is about as i spent my childhood years in Derby and could have gone to school with her!!! hugs Jan xx
