there is a record of January 12th, 1888 a day that could remain sad forever great plains blizzard swept across the valleys entering the school houses and homes of the settlers two hundred and thirteen children perished on that day a blizzard that will always be known as the children’s blizzard January 12th, 1888, a day of sadness for so many mothers and fathers
