A Day In Love's Life
love doesn't have to be so hard for someone who has traded skies of it, and love doesn't have to be so hard for someone who has driven waters way below the bars,
and I tell you,
that love hasn't been so hard until you came along, it's been far
far long since you're here
love doesn't have to be sweet, it's so tragic and it doesn't meet, my sugar requirements,
I'm sorry I need to get it off my charts for today.
Maybe tomorrow, I could cut some carbs out and feed myself some cardboard homely heights
and I tell you,
that love hasn't been so sweet until you came along, it's been far
far long since you care
love doesn't have to be chic, it's so wrong and it doesn't have to be discreet all the time
it doesn't have to hide itself behind curtains, sheer; it doesn't have to blend in walls so beige,
it could really get on the stage, it's wobbly but trust me it's safe
and I tell you,
that love has always been so,
even after you came along,
it feels just a minute you're staring
tell me, why are you staring?
love has woken up on the other of the bed today, her hair is all messed, and you can see, she's not walking straight,
she's wobbly too today
maybe she could use a break or two?
oh and she bumps into you
what is it I see?
I see, I see, I see
love has gotten you smitten, hasn't she?
I tell you,
that love has never been so still
and i've known her since I was three
or maybe I haven't
