~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh, to be loved by a poet To be the poem that ignited their pride To be the one who offers no end to inspiration To be seen, not only by eyes but by heart and soul Oh, to be loved by an artist To be the one that lightens their eyes To be the one they create with, musing with such care Oh, to be loved by the writer To be the meaning behind their words To have them read to all, but written by me These are all such silly little thoughts Why would a poet love someone like me? Why would an artist love someone like me? Yet, to be loved by a poet, artist, or writer To be the one who sparks the joy in what they do I would never die; I’d live a thousand lives! I am ethereal, one of a kind! I’m a sight for sore eyes. No wonder they have a crush on me!
Dear Sara, An exquisite poem exploring the want for affection from a poet, artist, or writer, and the sensation of being a muse for their artistic endeavors. Your portrayal centers on a strong desire to be the source of inspiration for creative folks, such as poets, painters, and authors. The poem employs expressive and passionate diction, evoking a profound sense of yearning and admiration. You employ imagery such as "brightens their eyes" and "ignites the joy" to express the influence you aspire to have on the artistic persons.
Awesome take on the theme Sara. And I suspect you are a certain fellow's muse (who shall remain nameless, though we all know him, right?) for all the love poems he's ever written
