A Christmas Mishap

A plump woman lived in New York
At Christmas dinner, ate much beef and pork,
Adding kilos to her fat
On a chair as she sat,
It broke down with a sudden creak

Secured the eighth position

Congratulations on your winner. Way to go. Thanks for sharing it with us. I think she put that chair under too much torque. Sara K

This was cute, Valsa. the last word did not rhyme with the last words of the first two lines. Other than that, this was a pretty well written limerick and I appreciate your entering my contest with it. Congrats for the win and Merry Christmas.

I saw that happen when I was courting a German girl; at breakfast, her mother said I should eat more so I could be like her husband, who dutifully leaned back in his chair to pat his huge stomach, and the chair collapsed. Still funny! Aloha!
