A Christmas Card

Letters unsent,
to people…
that wish they had received them.
Maybe not write away,
or all at once,
but eventually.

Harsh words spoken,
throughout the year,
people with a past…
they can not leave.
Maybe something;
they are dragging behind.
Turn and check.

A piece of paper,
a range of size(s),
to make you laugh
or cry
or say; “Hi!”

The postman still has a job,
he goes all around,
passing out bills,
and ads,
and spam,
and junk mail.
Yet every now,
and then,
a card in the bin,
to someone,
it makes,
a difference to.

A pleasure to deliver,
a greater one to receive.
A thoughtful note,
a kind expression,
of a love…

tender and lee.
(lee… the safe side of a stone)

It is the thought that counts. A happy Christmas card is a must. Pity so few cards display the Betlehem scene.

You are so correct. It is hard to find one that expresses the real meaning... silly rabbits... have no idea... what things are really about... Hugs for your day. A very Merry Christmas to you and your family. God Bless. Ann

A card can do so much, it is amazing that I have forgotten how to write one! I have to get back to that! Thank you for a beautiful reminder, Ann.
